Cookie Policy

Effective: August 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how NCTRCA uses cookies and similar technologies on the Site. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. The actual technologies used must be verified through a current technical scan before this Policy is published.

1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, software development kits, and device identifiers. These technologies may remember settings, maintain a session, help secure an account, measure Site use, or support communications and marketing.

2. Categories NCTRCA May Use

Strictly necessary and security technologies: support login, session management, fraud prevention, load balancing, consent preferences, accessibility settings, and other functions necessary to operate and protect the Site. Disabling these technologies may prevent features from working. Functional technologies: remember optional choices such as language, display, saved forms, or preferences and provide enhanced features. Analytics and performance technologies: measure visits, traffic sources, page interactions, errors, and aggregate usage so NCTRCA can evaluate and improve the Site. NCTRCA may use Google Analytics for this purpose. Marketing technologies: may measure campaign performance or support interest-based communications if NCTRCA later enables those features. These technologies should not be used unless the Privacy Policy and preference controls accurately disclose and manage them.

3. Google Analytics

NCTRCA may use Google Analytics, or similar analytics, which uses tags, cookies, or similar technologies to collect information about Site usage. The default implementation may collect session statistics, device and browser information, approximate location, and referral information. Google provides privacy controls and an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. NCTRCA should configure data retention, advertising features, granular location and device collection, internal traffic filters, and consent settings to match its approved practices. NCTRCA must not intentionally send prohibited personally identifiable information to Google Analytics.

4. Current Cookie Inventory

This Site sets no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and loads no third-party tracking tags of any kind. There are no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, non social media trackers, and non consent to-management vendor. The only cookie the Site utilizes is the authentication session cookie that keeps a signed-in member logged in. Everything else stored in the browser is first-party, functional, and holds no identifiers. One third=party service runs the visitor’s browser: Sentry for error monitoring, configured to exclude personal data. Cookie Set By Purpose Type Duration Sb-eqkekgnvivmwuyrsrrhiauthtoken The Bridge by NCTRCA Maintains a signed-in members session; without it a member cannot stay logged in Strictly Necessary Session-based; refreshed wihile active, cleared on sign-out. No other cookies are set.

5. User Choices

Users may manage cookies through a website link, when available, and through browser or device settings. Blocking all cookies may impair account login, security, payments, forms, preferences, and other Site functions. A user may also use Google’s published Analytics opt-out tool. Cookie choices are browser- and device-specific and may need to be repeated after clearing cookies or using another device.

6. Do Not Track and Opt-Out Preference Signals

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals, and some tools transmit recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. Because standards and legal requirements vary, the Site may not respond to every signal. To the extent required by applicable law and supported by the Site’s configuration, NCTRCA will process a recognized opt-out preference signal as a request to opt out of applicable sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising processing for that browser or device.

7. Third-Party Technologies

Third-party content embedded in the Site, such as videos, maps, payment tools, social-media features, or event platforms, may place or read their own technologies. Those third parties control their technologies and practices. Users should review the third party’s cookie and privacy notices.

8. Updates and Contact

NCTRCA may update this Cookie Policy when technologies or legal requirements change. Questions may be sent to INFO@NCTRCA.org. The effective date at the top identifies the latest published version.
